Asiartic Camerata: CANDLENIGHT™ HK.

  • Art Above Atmosphere

"While many modern productions use lighting as a simple decorative element, CANDLENIGHT™ defines it as a canvas for multidisciplinary fusion. Our vision is built on a Music + Arts signature: a sophisticated integration where world-class orchestral performances from the Asiartic Camerata meet contemporary dance, vocal artistry, digital scenography, and site-specific lighting design."

Our Philosophy: A Living Artistic Canvas

Our philosophy is simple: The atmosphere should serve The Art. We define 'The Art' not just as the music, but as the seamless synthesis of our orchestral foundation with a fluid rotation of other creative mediums. We believe that every performance is a unique, unrepeatable dialogue between these disciplines, the space, and the audience.

Led by the Green Music Foundation, our series refuses to be a static format; instead, it serves as a high-prestige platform for professional artistic exploration where no one element exists in isolation.

    • Bespoke Collaborations: Our identity is built on a commitment to evolving artistic fusions—integrating featured vocalists, operatic singers, contemporary dancers, and visual artists into a single cohesive narrative.

    • Artistic Curation & Bespoke Direction: Under the direction of Carlos Brito Dias, our programs are meticulously curated. Whether we are interpreting the timeless masterworks of Bach and Mozart or debuting original commissions and arrangements, every performance is specifically tailored to the unique acoustics and architecture of the venue. This ensures that the music—in its original or reimagined form—and the space breathe together.

    • Dynamic Lighting Narratives: The 'Night' in our brand is not a static backdrop, but a curated lighting environment that evolves to match the emotional arc of the multidisciplinary performance.

Our Heritage & Origins.

The Leadership & Artistic Vision:

The CANDLENIGHT™ series is the proprietary "Music + Art" signature of the Asiartic Camerata, a flagship program led by its Artistic Directors. Operating under the patronage of the Green Music Foundation and developed since the ensemble's inception in early 2023, the series represents a unique multidisciplinary fusion of classical repertoire, contemporary artistic expression and live improvisation.

The series' elite musical standard is maintained by maestro Carlos Brito Dias, who serves as the Asiartic Conductor and Composer in Residence, as well as the Artistic Advisor for the Asiartic Camerata. This structure ensures that every production is not only a performance but a curated artistic work, often featuring bespoke arrangements and site-specific conducting.

The Asiartic Camerata CANDLENIGHT™ identity was formally established to define our unique multidisciplinary fusion, setting a world-class standard well before the inconsistent or generic claims of third parties

The 2023–2024 Developmental Phase:

The vision for the series was conceptualized at the very inception of the ensemble, dating back to the first rehearsals of the Asiartic Camerata in May 2023. Throughout 2023 and 2024, the team developed the "Music + Arts" signature through an ambitious pilot production together with beyond dance theatre company, where a complex reimagined four seasons performance produced an first-class artistic real collaboration between both sides.

The FIMSAL International Milestone:

The series reached its elite international standard during the first edition of the FIMSAL Festival in Spain (Summer 2025). To achieve this global caliber, the Asiartic Camerata integrated its core musicians with distinguished guest artists and world-renowned specialists, including international famous pedagogical leaders and masters of historical performance practice.

This inaugural season featured site-specific masterworks conducted by Carlos Brito Dias:

  • The Cave World Premiere: The first-ever musical production inside this historic cave system, featuring a world-premiere piece composed specifically for the venue’s acoustics by Carlos Brito Dias, with an spectacular lighting atmosphere.

  • The Cathedral Series: Traditional Baroque programs in sacred venues, illuminated by thousands of candles to honor the sacred venue.

  • The Cinematic Premiere: The debut of our "Night Movie" concept, featuring live piano improvisation and strategic lighting in a curated outdoor setting.

La Soirée: Timeless Christmas.

We are proud to maintain the ongoing support of the Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong, with the Consul General personally attending our performances to witness this unique synergy of sound and motion.
